Class 2 Crocus
Class 2 - Crocus planting
Ipswich East Rotary Club donated to Henley Primary School over 2000 free crocus corms in celebration of World Polio Day, which was on 24th October.
Each class planted the corms in grassy areas in the orchard and pond space which will make a big visual impact next Spring.
Why crocuses?
Rotary International has pledged to strive to completely eradicate Polio from the world. It has adopted the crocus as a symbol to represent its ‘Purple for Polio’ campaign for raising awareness of the disease and the devastating health consequences it can have which we are happy to support.
Many thanks to Ipswich East Rotary Club.
